We then wanted some dinner and to get warm. But this was the only place that we could find that was actually open at this time (we had passed it by on original investigation). And the owner was so surprised that we actually wanted to eat there (never a good sign!) and gave us a recommendation from the menu (we think because he didn't really have anything else). In the end we had schnitzel with chips and something that was supposed to resemble a salad (whatever he had in the kitchen). It really wasn't that bad and it meant that I ended up eating all the traditional German dishes, schnitzel, goulash and sauerkrawt (or however you spell them!). It was certainly a little bit of an adventure!
