And Olivia (did I call her Oliver, whoops! sorry!) is wearing her uniform for lent (though you can't really see her) and Xander loves his uniform, so he joined her. How cool, wearing uniform to ballet. I like it. (My problem, I don't have my tunic, so I can't wear my uniform cos I would freeze. I still wear lots of salvo gear though.) Posted by Picasa
So this is Kyle Reardon (visiting from Washington), Oliver Munn (who dances as well, I love Olivia) and Xander (whose name is really Alexander but he chose to shorten it that way) Coleman. Xander is also Australian and he and Oliver are my dancing aficionados. It's great. There is so much appreciation of dancing here, especially in worship. I feel so validate it, I love it! Posted by Picasa
This was us going to the ballet, my first ballet, yeah! We went and saw a ballet to Handel's Messiah. It was modern but still really, really beautiful and there was something amazing about seeing people dance to something with such spiritual significance. Even though we had to leave knee drill (prayer meeting) early it was a worship experience in itself. If we hadn't had Fullness for the weekend, and people had been going, I would have seen it again. Posted by Picasa
This is Melissa, I think, on my laptop. Laptops, particularly mine, are very communal creatures. Really, if it's on and you want to use it, feel free! Posted by Picasa
And this is Joel Boyd. One of things that I love about being here is that the uniform is just such a normal part of every day where. And I love high collars! Woohoo :) Posted by Picasa
So here you can see some sketches of the potential tract. Posted by Picasa
So this is laptop central here. Right at this very moment we have three people on laptops with wireless internet connection tapping away. It's funny, in this world of simplicity, somehow the internet seems to be a thing of importance. I'm not exactly sure why that is, but it's ok. Posted by Picasa
Jared was not so impressed that I took this photo and may not be impressed that I posted it, but oh well, you get that! Sorry Jared. :) He just didn't like the fact that he was unshaven but I think it looks fine. Jared lives next door to me. He is cool. Posted by Picasa
So these are some of the guys from the Empress 2 squad I think. They were working on a track that would not be thrown away by people at first glance. They decided to use the idea of putting a toilet on the front with some comment like, "Life going down the drain?" or something and then the verse that has "let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need." So this is Melissa and Andrew Stringer (Kirsty's husband), Juanito, Kirsty and Jared (who is another of my housemates but not part of this squad - but he can be in the photo anyway!). Posted by Picasa
So I've shown you some of the neighbourhood, so here are some of the people that I share my life with. This is Kirsty Stringer, she is an Aussie (!) and she actually lives with me. Posted by Picasa

So this is my front door. Hehe, one of my friends commented that it is funny that my life has been reduced to two keys that I hang around my neck. I just love that I can be hanging out with the guys at the food van and decide to go home and then walk across the street. It's cool! Posted by Picasa
This is looking up my street, Main St. My apartment is just on the right. Posted by Picasa
So these are the beautiful mountains that we have view of, everyday that it is not raining and overcast! (which is kind of a lot) It's a weird contrast to see all the cranes and building equipment in front of it. Posted by Picasa
So this is Crab Tree Park in the foreground and the 'city' part of Vancouver in the background. Crab Tree Park is down the road and good for hanging out and thinking because it has some pretty sweet views of the mountains and we can walk to the city. If we want to go out to eat, we will probably walk down to the city. Otherwise, the DTES has pretty much everything we need. Posted by Picasa
This is my street: Main St. Posted by Picasa
So mum wanted photos of where I live. This is the start of them. This is a picture of a guy that I met that day called Rob. He is standing in front of the main intersection of our neighbourhood Main and Hastings. I live a block down the road to the left. It really doesn't look to bad here! Posted by Picasa
This is Olivia and Xander. Both of these guys like dancing! We are going to a ballet tonight to Handel's Messiah. It should be cool. Xander is Australian and has a triplet brother who I remind him of because he (Shaw) is a dancer and apparently I act like him. Great! Posted by Picasa
This is us and it was supposed to have Brisbane behind us but obviously we have too big heads! Oh, and ladies, do you remember the three reasons why we couldn't run?! I can remember mine and Chloe's, what was yours Shan? Posted by Picasa
Now, ready, on our way, here we go! Posted by Picasa
Chloe wondering why we hadn't stopped to let her in the car. Posted by Picasa
Ok, so these pictures are a bit weird cos I had to use night vision on my camera. But this is my last night in Brisbane. We played suburb alphabet. The whole idea is that you start at A and drive to suburbs that start with each letter of the alphabet and then you cheer when you get there. Shan and Chloe have been doing this for a while and so we started at 'O' for Oxford Park and we got the 'W', but I can't remember what W is. So this is us backing out of the garage. Posted by Picasa
It seems that this photo got missed, so this was taken to prove that you are never too old to be climbing trees. And yes I did go up in a skirt but I was completely decent the whole time! Posted by Picasa

These are my two best friends, and Gabriella and Gloriana. Posted by Picasa
So this was 'playgroup' at my house with Bek and Jess and their kids. It was so much fun. Crazily, Jess stayed until 2am that night, with the kids. But it was so much fun and so good to see them before I went. Posted by Picasa
My cousin Steph and her baby Preston in their new house. It was great to catch up with her. I will mis not being able to go to her wedding. Posted by Picasa
